Alabama Disaster Relief, an extension of Word Alive International Outreach, serves our community and the state of Alabama in supporting first responders during emergency operations. We seek to enhance the ability of first responders in search and rescue operations, food/water distribution, and operations/logistics support by providing necessary survival items, manpower, and financial support.

Our Assessment Teams deployed to two different locations: Oak Grove and Hueytown in response to tornado damage that occurred early that morning. Our teams were able to deliver bottled water, Meals Ready to Eat, and other supplies to first responders in those areas.

We have partnered with Clay Ridge Baptist Church in Clay, AL and Clearview Baptist Church in Pinson, AL to supply needed items for recovery operations in those areas. From donations received over the last week, we're able to send food, water, tools, and sundry items to support recovery teams in the cleanup and rebuilding of their local communities.

Thank you to everyone who has donated their time and money to assist Alabama Disaster Relief in supporting our local communities' recovery from the damage of the January 23 tornadoes. We will continue to update you on the progress of our efforts.

If you're interested in volunteering or donating, please contact us at (256) 835-0058 or by email at firstresponders@wordalive.org.
